A reminder for viewers outside of the Flames region, this is not a nationally televised game. Centre Ice is required to see this game.

I have been complaining to Rogers about this. It is a big game in the playoff race for both teams and on one of its marquee nights. This should be upgraded to national staturs so please send a text or email to Sportsnet about this poor decision.

I’d like to see Kadri sit, Dube centre and Duer take the open wing slot.

How do we text or email Sportsnet specifically for something like this?

I’d be game for that. It’s not like Kadri wants to contribute anymore so may as well get players in that want to win.

This would be great for any future free agents to see

I think demoting him will probably do the trick. He’s a competitive guy.

He’s better than Duehr.

I don’t think that’s relevant actually, and nobody would remember. So, who cares. Plus if it prevents the Flames from future catastrophic FA signings that’s a win in my books anyway.

Came across this. Anyone remember the massive Dion hit on Kopitar?

Bet Kopitar remembers.

Lol. Not signing FA's is probably very much a good thing based on history, so I'll give you this one. The next James Neal or Troy Brouwer not signing in Calgary may actually improve the team

Oh stop! Kadri is still a top player on this team, he's in a rough patch right now that all players find themselves in from time to time.

Acting like Kadri isn't important to the teams success is just ridiculous

A break out tonight against the kings would be a huge return to form.

Until he starts to skate, no he isn’t. He’s a net negative. Literally Duehr and Pelletier are better. He’s not good enough to float around and be effective and he hasn’t scored in what, like 18 games or some absurd length of time?

Sitting Kadri for one game is not the end of the world. He isn’t doing anything so bring in people that will try.

Further, this is how you get guys like Kadri to wake up, actually, and guarantee the following game you slot him back in he will all of a sudden magically have found another gear. It’s called coaching and running an actual meritocracy, something this team has needed for months, desperately, actually.

I'm not expecting much, but should be an easy 2 points. Hube and Kadri should sit cuz they're bums. Hahaha

Coffee... Duehr/ Pelltier are NOT better than Kadri. I get the animosity towards his recent play but Kadri is a proven top 6 NHL player.

You can have your opinions but reality is what it is. I'll be cheering for an offensive breakout from him tonight, not calling for a benching.

If we sent Kadri to the press box the turmoil and toxicity on the team will be unbelievable.

How many games would you give this guy to do something or put in an honest effort?

Do you think he’s trying his best?

He signed a $49 million guaranteed contract. Team isn’t a lock to win the cup. He’s good, thanks. Agree to disagree that players who try at this level (any of them) are better than players that don’t (any of them). Maybe McDavid is the exception.

As long as you communicate properly why, I don’t think so. What, is Kadri going to straight face say he’s been doing his best the last 40 games?

Did you catch Saturday night? He was straight up brutal.

That is 67 goals.

Something has gone terribly wrong this year when the production has taken a nose dive like that.

If those 4 can combine for 30 goals for the next 12 that would put as at 256 goals for and factor in other guys and suddenly the offence doesn't look so bad.
Agreed. It's not that we are an unskilled roster. It's on Sutter for believing that we are, and forcing the entire team to play as though they are.

It's gross mismanagement of the roster in terms of deployment and also developing a game plan that maximizes the skillsets of the roster.

I'm not disagreeing but based on comments is Sutter communicating why?

This could explode if he did that.

Something must have changed for some of these guys to start disliking Sutter so quickly.
