Couldn't find this anywhere so thought I'd mention it.

Guess Disney is currenty writing the scripts for another Tron sequel and a remake for the Black Whole.

Wow I remember the Black Hole being beautifully shot and the most boring movie that I've ever seen.

Not to excited to see an action based rewrite of it though.

The Black Hole was a glorious mess of a movie - it had equal parts science, horror, adventure, metaphysics and annoying R2-D2 wannabes.

I remember getting one of the robot figures (Bob?) in my Shreddies cereal box when I was a kid. I loved those two robot characters. The movie does not hold up at all now but I have a special place for it in my childhood memories.

Yeah I want to be excited but I'm sure it'll be terrible.

For the love of god, somebody get Kosinski a decent script. Dude's got great style and special effects talent, which makes for pretty sci-fi but he's been pretty low on any sort of intellectual content, which is for me what separates good sci-fi from simple spectacle. I was really intrigued when he was attached to a Logan's Run remake. At least with Black Hole, it's a remake of a sort of crappy original, which I prefer as compared to Hollywood trying to remake films that were pretty good the first time around (Total Recall).

Im actually looking forward to the new Tron. Loved the original, enjoyed the second one and it was one of my favorite Arcade games growing up.

(sometime you just got to let the criticisms slide)

yeah I'm not sure there was a lot of critism for the new Tron. It seemed pretty well liked by most people and critics. Not sure where they can go from the end of the last one, but I would be interested to see it.
