Anyone play valheim yet saw it on steam but haven't bought it the reviews are crazy good for it for an early access game
Dumped 40 hours into it already.
If you have a group to play it with its outstanding, though a bit grindy for collecting resources.
Similar to games like The Forest or Raft, but with a viking slant to it. Great building engine for those who like base building. Decent if simple combat, fun to explore area.
We're really liking it.

Little Nightmares II is fantastic. The Hospital chapter is by far the scariest of both games (so far, at least!). Highly recommend to any fan of spooky puzzle platformers

Yeah it's designed for it, multiplayer is quite laggy but just thrown in since people will want to play with their friends. I think they said improving stability is their main focus right now though.
Difficulty scales depending on how many players are in the area so you won't be at a disadvantage playing alone

Weird, haven't found multiplayer very laggy at all. We usually play with 3-4 friends at a time.
What I find really interesting is that you can bring all your inventory from one game to another. So I can play on a local game building my own stuff, then log into our multiplayer game and I'll have all my own equipment, inventory, skills, etc. when I join and vice-versa.

Not sure it's too bad with 3-4 people but I run a dedicated server for friends, despite not liking the game. They say it gets pretty bad when they're all in the same area, but then again, I imagine some of them have quite a high ping. One lives in the UK, one is in Sweden, the rest spread out in North America. Also commonly have a full 10 person server though.

I'm torn between medieval dynasty and valheim the ability to build a village and recruit npcs in medieval dynasty really appeals to me, but valheim sounds amazing
In the spirit of transparency and closure we wanted to share that we’ve made the difficult decision to stop our new development work on Anthem (aka Anthem NEXT). We will, however, continue to keep the Anthem live service running as it exists today.

Seeing as Bioware is just up to road in Edmonton, I've known a few folks there and almost everybody who made the company's once-gilded reputation has left over the years. Anthem was a mistake from the beginning with no clear leadership or vision at all as to what it should be. A decade of unfocused development and developers who were questioning why they were making a looter-shooter.
Many people are quick to point out that it took EA to come in and force them to keep the Iron-Man flying element but that was the problem with the scope of the game. When players have too much freedom, you break the illusion of the game because there are no more boundaries and when they get to fly around an entire world, it's easy to see how empty it is, even if you did your best to fill it with meaningful content. The best games are always focused and tight on what the player can experience and the boundaries funnel them into the experiences that are hand-crafted rather than procedurally generated.
That said, there are still passionate creatives and new blood and creatives who want to make good things.
The studio has also moved into fancy new digs in the Ice District.
I'm looking forward to the Mass Effect Remaster as I know people working on it.

Uhmm this is like.. literally what I've been waiting years for.
Is this going to be switch only? Or do they ever do a PC port?

All the negatives with regards to Anthem aside, it's still lame to hear the news that it's being fully put to pasture. I was interested to see how it could be revamped given that, in my opinion, its core gameplay was extremely fun. They didn't execute in a great many areas (story, loot system, character progression, etc.), but there was a kernel of greatness in there.
In any case, gigantic Mass Effect fan here so I eagerly await the trilogy remaster.
