An offseason favorite to compete for a Cup, Calgary is finally starting to look like a team that should be in the mix come June. Seven straight wins see the Flames heating up once again. - Livingstone
But more surprisingly

10. Edmonton Oilers (20-23-3)
Previously 14th
Edmonton looked like its old self Saturday night in a big road win against the Golden Knights in overtime, and any team with the reigning Hart Trophy winner is always a threat, regardless of the rest of the roster's flaws. - Gold-Smith
Are you serious? Lightning 8th when they are the top team in the league... Oilers, a bottom 10 team is ranked 10th... and Flames, which are the hottest team in the league with a 7 games win streak and 2nd in the Pacific is 22nd?
Obviously Josh Gold-Smith, Cory Wilkins, and Flip Livingstone have absolutely zero knowledge about whats going on in hockey... I can literally spin a wheel and get more accurate rankings than this BS article.

Also -> don't over-look the fact that they have the beloved Leafs ranked #4. 4 spots ahead of Tampa.
In the same number of games played the Flames actually have one more point than the Leafs, including a 7-2-1 last-ten record with the Leafs going 4-4-2.
Seems like some SCORE writers are already smoking the soon-to-be-legal stuff!
I honestly thought you were trolling so I clicked the link and now I can't stop shaking my head in disbelief....brutal list.
But the comments are pretty funny.

Takes into account strength of schedule, strength of victory and other STATS. NO BIAS.
No ranking will ever be perfect, but I tend to agree with this site more than any. One of the flaws however is putting some weight into how teams are trending. 2018 Flames obviously > 2017 Flames.
Yay Flames!

I expect this article has elicited hundreds more clicks than it would have if it mirrored most power rankings that are taking their list more seriously as it's probably being circulated around a lot of NHL forums. Mission accomplished really.
Man, I am in the wrong line of work. How do I get paid to spin a wheel and call it the truth?
Aren't you an accountant?
"What do the numbers say?"
"Depends. What would you like them to say?"

The best way to generate clicks on the internet is to bait, troll, and post otherwise nonsensical information as factual. Maybe they are onto something.
