I did my renewal, and signed up to have payments (for both next season and the playoffs) to come off my credit card on March 15th. Haven't seen anything come out yet, and am getting a bit worried something went wrong...
Has anyone else been charged yet?

They sent a notice out that they are processing playoff tickets today.

Weird that I didn't get that. Probably too soon to panic then.
Although I do still think it's weird they haven't charged me for my STH renewal for next season yet. It definitely said it would be March 15th...

My credit card has two charges from the Flames, both dates March 15th, one for the first of four instalments on next year’s tickets, and another for rounds one and two of the playoffs in full.

Mine only shows the charge for the two playoff games as "pending" on March 18. But I signed up for monthly payments since this year they didn't add the $25 charge and the first payment is April 15. So it appears they don't post the charge on everyone's at the same time.

For those of us who pre-paid for 8 playoff games, has anybody heard anything about our refunds? Figured I'd check before emailing them.

Based on past experience, they will almost certainly keep the money and apply it to the next time you owe them something unless you ask for it back.
I'm planning to leave mine on account, but if your group has changed year-to-year or whatever, they will refund but only if you ask your rep.

Honest question, is there a benefit to pre-pay vs. pay as you play?
I always choose the latter without really thinking about it.

Same with me. Once pay as we play became available that's the only option I ever chose. In the old days you had to prepay for all the games assuming the Flames would get into the Stanley Cup finals and then you'd get a refund on the unplayed games (that would be applied to next year's tickets). Not sure why anyone would choose to prepay for x games now.

For those of us that share tickets amongst many people it simplifies the money collection part of it. Anything unused goes to next year's seasons.

For our group, we no longer have enough people for all the games- so we sell quite a few. We paid for the games ahead of time from the money we had, and the plan was that whoever was going to the games would pay back to our own fund as we played.
Certainly not the end of the world if the Flames just apply our payment onto next year. Just easier for my own book keeping to have the money all in one place. Or at the very least show the credit applied to our Flames account.

I e-mailed my rep on this very subject yesterday, Ken. I'll let you know when I hear back. We have three (including myself) who share our tickets and one of them prepaid his entire season already, so I'll have to refund him some money if we apply the credit to the season invoice.

Ken, did you get the notice today about the playoff dollars automatically going to your next season tickets? There's an option to request a refund, should you wish to do that.

I also contacted my rep, and now my account is all messed up. She said she put the refund onto my renewal, but I don't see it now. She says it can only have 3 current renewals, and the Roughnecks are showing two with the playoffs. And the Flames playoffs are the 3rd.
Super frustrating that the Flames office cannot seem to handle season ticket accounts.

Reminds me of a convo I had with my Account Rep last week.
I get a call and they're asking why my CC was declined.
I politely ask which CC they used and they reference an old one that hasn't been in use for over a year.
I ask them why that one was used or was on file instead of the CC they've been taking payments from for the last set of payments?
Enter, nervous chuckle from him and a whoops!

Do you guys know how the ticket exchange works on Ticketmaster?
I sold a pair of tickets on there this season but not sure when I am supposed to receive those funds (I choose the method where they put the money into your ticketmaster account? not the one where they send it to your bank/chequings account)

Not surprising considering everything else that is so poorly done at the saddle dome. Ken king just isn’t very competent.

Only time I did that I had to contact my sales rep to get it applied to my account. Now I just take the cheque.
