Huska has been with the Kelowna Rockets coaching staff for the last 12 years. His first 5 he was an assistant coach, the last 7 as a Head Coach. He has WHL Championship in 2008-2009 and a coaching record of 303-164-0-37.

I wonder how many assistants he will get to hire.

They had two assistants for every year in Abby, then last year they had both assistants move on and just hired Ftorek as the lone assistant.

Also, does anyone know if Sigalet (Goalie coach) or Thompson (conditioning coach) will be making the move to Adirondack?

Sigalet was actually an assistant coach last year along with Ftorek. He was promoted after 2012-13, however his work was still primarily with the goaltenders I believe.

But I have not heard about these two. I would guess that Sigalet was a Ward hire for his staff and so he would not automatically be moving until Huska wants to retain him.

Sigalet probably won't be moving. My understanding is Adirondack has no assists signed yet.

He lives just across the line in Washington. Coaching for the Heat worked perfectly for him. I can't see him uprooting to leave.

Plus, he's got his goalie school in Langley, I believe.

This might be concerning. The Glen Falls Civic Centre is going up for auction as the city of Glen Falls cannot afford it. Does state the new owner must honour the contract with Adirondack.

I'm sure the Flames were well aware the city would be putting the arena up for auction before they signed the deal. I don't think any of this will affect the baby Flames whatsoever.

I hope you're right. Otherwise the relationship between the Flames and Glenns Falls would not be off to a great start.

I had a feeling that someone close to the Flames might have a wink wink nudge nudge to buy the arena. Not at all surprised that it's Petrovic. Hope this means they'll spruce the joint up a bit.
