I wonder if there may be a situation here potentially. If somebody at uber overstepped the bounds of the privacy policy, and if there were any repercussions on the career(s) of any of these players, or the coach, then, given the level of salaries of the people involved, damages could be quite substantial. The US is a very litigious society and this reportedly happened there.

Surprised at the majority of level headedness in this thread actually.

At the end of the day it sounds like some young guys venting about their boss. This probably could have happened to any team in the league.

Scummy move to post the video online without consent.

Trade for Duchene right now. The guy doesn't want to be there and won't be there for long imo. Take advantage of this franchise, send them a package around Stone + Hathaway and a pick or some magic beans lol

Is this serious?

I have zero desire to add another forward, let alone someone like Duchene who has a black cloud following him wherever he goes.

Monahan/Duchene/Backlund could be a 1/2/3 punch down the middle with incredible versatility, though.

If we wanna be an actual playoff contender than for sure we need another top 6 centre to keep the top line together.

Well, Marty Raymond... he's no Dave Cameron, that's for sure.

If ever we need a 2nd line center to push Backlund down the lineup, (which we don't) we have Elias Lindholm ready to take on that job. That allows Neal to get 1st line minutes and score just as many goals as Lindholm is currently scoring.

How does another top 6 center keep our top line together? We have bottom 6 centers Mark Jankowski, Derek Ryan, Dillon Dube, and in a pinch Austin Czarnik. What the hell do we need Duchene for? We're one of the top scoring teams in the league BTW.

This doesn't even address the issues Duchene has had everywhere he's gone. He's rarely ever been part of a winning team, and most times his teams are in the basement of the league. He was a malcontent in Colorado, and as soon as he leaves they're good. He goes to Ottawa and they're suddenly one of the worst teams in the league. He puts up points, but does little else to actually win games. He's a guy I'd stay far away from.

Jankowski is not a good 3rd line centre at all. At the bare minimum we need someone to step up for that. If Lindholm moves too centre suddenly our right wing depth is bad again.

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Duchane-Neal
Bennett-Backlund-Frolik

Thats an awesome top 9 that can maybe make some noise in the playoffs but its a moot point because we cant afford to re-sign Duchane anyways with Tkachuk also coming up. Maybe as a rental that would be an idea though.
