Play clock ran out... why did they even let that go?

Not a great game for Marc Mueller. How do you go from dominating in the first half offensively to not scoring a single point in the 2nd half which is something that's not easy to do in the CFL? You stop doing what worked in the first half and for whatever reason they stopped running the ball (4 rushing attempts in the 2nd half and two of them were on their opening drive of the 2nd half). Even with the Als halftime adjustments you still have to run your gameplan and stick with what the offense was doing well.

Its a case of a coach outsmarting himself.
You go into a game with a game plan and to your surprise, it works overwhelmingly well. So your sitting there at the half, and you start thinking, its working too well. What's their adjustment.
Well when the run game is working that well, you would think that Montreal would load the box, do some gap blitzes and go to a cover 0 or cover 1. So you think, aha I've got you, I like my receivers in the 1 on 1 so I'm going to throw baby.
And then that doesn't work well, so you go ok, do I go back to the ground? Nope you go, I'm the smartest guy in the room, I'm going to keep throwing its going to work.
And then you give up the lead, you turn around and throw up in a bucket, because now you're not sure if the running game is going to warm up again, and in your head its the pass game, its just which pass game.
Meanwhile your head coach is glaring at you, your running back has kicked you in the shins on the way off the field, and your assistant on the radio in the booth left the talk button pressed, while he was telling the other coaches that he's talking to an idiot.

The Argos released WR Rasheed Bailey, who is having a decent year, this morning. I don't think the Stamps would bring him in but I can see him going back to the Bombers with all their injuries at receiver.

Stamps should take a look. If Odoms-Dukes can't get into the lineup then why not look at upgrading? Maier hasn't really developed chemistry with any single receiver to the point where he's consistently throwing the ball in their direction game to game so Dave shouldn't be satisfied with what's currently on the roster.

I don't disagree but it's not really the way Dave operates. IMO, what he should be doing is keeping a close on what happens with Mathieu Betts in Detroit, if he's cut, Dave should be in there with a really good offer. The Stamps d-line doesn't generate enough pressure or sacks.

I agree with pretty much all of the above and the bolded part as well except for the last game versus BC. I thought the Stamps did a good job of getting to Vernon Adams and laid a couple of good licks on him early that certainly put Adams off his game. Hopefully, they can bring the same kind of pressure against Dru Brown tonight.

VA is hard to take down so you can forgive the fact they only sacked him once but 5 sacks in 6 games simply isn't good enough and they need to do a better job of getting to the QB.

We are getting back Howsare as well, and if I recall it was Hicks who is behind him int eh depth chart who got a lot of good pressure last game.
If they can get a good rotation going and play like they did against BC that can be a difference maker.
Football can get complicated, but it really is one of the most simple games to figure out. Win the battle in the trenches and you will win most of the time.

Someone here wanted him released after camp....cause he was "old" or something like that.
18/18 seems rather good to me.
