He is 72, and he has done exceptional work in building the Stamps as being the top franchise in the CFL.
Also looks like he had a succession plan built for each position he would vacate which is not something you see.
His son is still on staff as our head scout.
Sucks to see him leave the franchise now, advisor roles are pretty much just in name to phase out people. He brought a lot of stability and fun back to the team.

Was my neighbour for a number of years while he played. The stories I won't tell about hanging out with him a few other O-Lineman that lived there. He was a pretty nice guy to the scrawny kid next door.

The Bombers announced that they're upgrading their field to filter, but then on Facebook I saw somebody claim that the Stampeders are buying the old turf? Is that a thing?

I believe the turf to the Stamps was a joke based on the poster ragging on McMahon.

The Bombers also announced earlier this week that IG Field will be renamed Princess Auto Stadium.
The home of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers is getting a new name.
The Winnipeg-based tools and equipment retailer Princess Auto has reached a 10-year sponsorship deal with the Winnipeg Football Club that will see IG Field renamed to Princess Auto Stadium starting this April, the team officially announced Tuesday.

Stamps re-sign Mills
The Nebraska product from Waycross, G.A., led the Stampeders in rushing this past season with 802 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in 14 games.

Have to think that means Ka'Deem Carey will not be back with the Stamps which I am fine with. Money needs to be spent in other positions to bolster the roster.

It’s also floating around that Peyton Logan is being re-signed as well.

Lots of picks moving around..
Tiger-Cats acquire LB Williams from Argonauts in 10-piece deal
The Toronto Argonauts dealt the Canadian linebacker to Hamilton on Monday for three 2024 draft picks (one first, two in third round) a conditional 2025 third-round selection and the negotiation rights to American receiver Deontay Burnett.

No changes to the coaching staff, disappointed that Monson returns.

I think you can make a strong argument that the CFL bringing in the non-player operations cap (aka coaches cap) has had a significant negative impact on the fortunes of the Stamps. We have all witnessed some excellent coaches leaving for greener pastures mainly due to this cap which I also think has had a negative impact on the quality of CFL play since it was implemented.
