Charleston Hughes officially announces retirement. Next stop CFL HOF. Can't remember how to embed tweets.

always a big fan of Hughes even when he had the stench of the Riders on him. All the best to him.

One of my all-time favorites.

The one tough thing about the Huffnagel-Dickenson era has been saying goodbye to players too soon. Classic example here

The Saskatchewan Roughriders request to interview Mark Kilam to potentially join Corey Mace’s coaching staff was denied by the Calgary Stampeders, per sources.

Kilam has been with the Stamps since 2005 when he joined the organization as a strength and conditioning coach and defensive assistant. He was promoted to special teams coordinator in 2010 and remained in the role ever since while earning the assistant head coach title in 2019.

After the comments last season and them not starting Bo I thought he was gone for sure. I guess the money is too much for him to just walk away from.

500k? I guess that pushes Ford back to the bench.

Ford won’t ride the bench. Now they have a legit 1-2. Never had that with Corn.

BLM gives TSN a couple seasons to move someone off the panel.

MBT didn't play for a year? Ask any QB who missed the COVID season, including BLM, how skipping a year off from situational QB practicing, worked out.
And allocating a fairly substantial cap amount? Elks following the Oilers "offseason winning" trend. Truly hope it doesn't work out for them.

To be fair, he did play last year, just not in the CFL. He was the leading passer in the USFL.

He is still a proud ex-Stamp and record holder in Denver now!

With Henry back and Michel here now we should have some serious speed we have not had for a while.

We just need a QB who can get them the ball downfield in stride.

Sick of watching us set up screens with terrible blocking.

Informal discussions that will be formalized for Rules Committee at CFL Combine in March after CFL meetings were held in Nashville today.

@TSNDaveNaylor:
There are 2 options @CFL is considering on kickoffs:
1 — allow teams that surrender a touchdown to take the ball on own 40 yard line. Under this proposal, kickoffs would happen to start a game, start a half and during final 3 minutes to preserve ability to on-side kick.#CFL

2 — The XFL model kickoff where teams line-up 5 yards from each other to prevent the high speed collisions that lead to injuries.#CFL

And there is no momentum to legalize the “tush-push” in the @CFL. Currently players can push the pile but not a ball carrier, especially not from pre-snap formation. #CFL
