I think at this point you have to give credit where credit is due. The Jays bats have warts for sure. We've seen it all season. But Castillo is undeniably dealing.

No plate discipline. It's been a problem with these guys for a while. Everyone wants to hit a homerun instead of just getting a hit.

for sure, however the Jays are prone to this type of stuff....

i.e. happens against Tampa all of the time.

It was mentioned earlier but Castillo's sinker is averaging 99 when during the regular season it's 97. The extra 2MPH is a huge difference and the reason why the Jays haven't been able to get any good contact today. A 99/100 mph sinker with a starting pitcher is rediculous and not common.

The hitters have to come up with some offense.

It's now or never time.

I really feel like this game was lost when Manoah hit Rodriguez in the first inning. It was an 0-2 count. He had him on the ropes. Even if he hangs one and JRod hits it out, you shake it off and move on only down 1. But the fact he hit him, and the seed of doubt creeps in, you start to see the battle. That leads to some lack of control and poor pitches. Next thing you know the Jays are down 3. The difference between being down 3 vs 1 is huge. Especially against a pitcher like Castillo. When you're down by 3 you automatically start playing for the big inning. Instead of trying to be creative and create runs. The Jays had some base runners early on. Albeit with 2 outs most of the time. But there is still opportunity to try and do different things if you just want to scratch out a run or two. Amazing how fickle this game is. And what makes teams like Seattle so dangerous. Lacking in talent but making up for it in opportunity and playing with house money.

This is when you need to take advantage. Top of the order and a mid inning pitching change

Something tells me he's staying in for team confidence purposes, but I hope those x-rays are negative.

I don't even think it really mattered much what Manoah did, given how Castillo has pitched and how completely unable the Jay's hitters have been to get anything done against him.

Complete side note, but as sports are sometimes all about novelty, I'd love to see the odd game which starts at 10pm local for every market. I'm sure they'd get some fun gate revenue for the novelty aspect of it in every city.
