Television images show police taking a man into custody outside the concert hall, dressed in a housecoat.
Well, at least they caught the nut case. No word on victim, yet.

Given that someone died as a result of yet another senseless tragedy, I vote that the title of this thread be changed.....

Completely unrelated to the shooting-- I'd be deliriously happy if Quebec separated. I think this have-not province needs to 'spread its wings and leave the nest'.

Marois may have spent her campaign preaching intolerance and bigotry against Anglophones, but this was not the most rational response.

What idiots they are in Quebec. It makes laughing at the Americans for electing Bush and then re-electing Bush a lot harder.

Unfortunate to hear that something like this could happen after democractic elections. Condolences to the victims.

Is this politically motivated? I am ignorant about Quebec politics and am curious if it is really that polarized

While he was being dragged away the man shouted:
"The English are waking up!"

So, yeah, I would think this was politically motivated.

That's the translation, he yelled "Les anglais se réveillent", who knows what he meant by that?

Don't troll me. I just made a disclaimer that my thoughts on Quebec separating isn't fueled by anything shooting related.

Also-- why'd they take the guy to the hospital? Even 660 AM is confused.

Probably because they think he's crazy or that he accidentally fell down a flight of stairs.

Probably for some blood tests followed by some sedatives.

Don't know how I'm trolling you. If you don't have anything thread related, why post in the thread. Simple stuff.
