Kel or someone smarter than me: How much of the porpoising is due to the new rim/tyre size? Methinks that a lot of those forces would have been dampened by the sidewall on the old tires.

It's probably too late to move any of them, but it's a triple header coming out of the summer break and then it'll be another 3 week break before Singapore...in a perfect world they should have bumped Italy back by a week. Or moved Azerbaijan to that slot.
Baku to Montreal is 123 degrees of longitude; nearly 9000 km and they're back to back!
Miami--Barcelona-Monaco--Baku-Montreal
Then again Baku to Singapore is still 7000km, but it would be a sensible pit stop en route to the Asian races (and probably should have been paired with Sochi anyways).
They actually try to alternate continents if they are unable to drive in time(mostly within Europe). I think Baku would be too far from Monaco. So they have 3 sets of equipment(minus the cars and some other stuff that flies to races). By alternating continents for fly away races, they can move equipment on boats to the races, ahead of the race with more time to spare.
So the Spanish gear will head straight to Monaco(then probably to GBR), the Miami stuff probably went to Montreal, and the Italian stuff to Baku. Just guessing on that, I know the logistics are really complicated. The point being, they aren't moving everything from one race to the next, only a small set that flies.

Thinking more of the human toll - though i know it's been mused of having two sets of team personnel, I'm not sure it's a realistic beyond the 3-5 biggest teams.
