Mike Yeo was coaching in Philadelphia? Since when? No wonder they were so awful.

No big deal for Yeo. I'm sure several teams with openings will interview him and at worst he ends up as an assistant coach somewhere as there seems to be something about him that GM's just can't help but hire him regardless of the results or how much players hate him. Worst NHL coach ever that continues to find work.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Did they actually fire him or stop paying him and hope he just goes away?

Imagine firing Vigneault and replacing him with Yeo.
The Flyers have no direction. I will be really disappointed if Johnny picks them over the Flames.

He is the guy that made the decision to kill Yandle's ironman streak too.
“Everybody wants to make sure that we finish the season strong, finish the season the right way,” Yeo said. “We want to make sure that we keep building for the future here, and if that means get some young guys in here, then that's what we have to do.”

I'd sooner criticize him for keeping Yandle's ironman streak going when it was obvious the guy wasn't good enough to be playing.
Is there some rule of hockey that says a guy who has played X number of consecutive games has to be kept in the lineup forever?

Not sure I would agree he was less effective than getting a prospect in for some junk time experience with a team going nowhere. IMO.

Re Yandle Ironman: "Always earned, never given"
Re Yeo. Fresh start makes sense for this team.

Isn’t Yeo a placeholder coach when your team sucks? Like Eakins?

Based on his play, he should have been in the pressbox months earlier.

Nobody is getting hired while Trotz is on the market.
