Wondering if the Daily Express is going to join the sun on the Anfield/Melwood banned list?

It certainly looks like it's down to Southampton or Swansea for the final relegation spot. And what do you know, they play in 10 days. Stoke needed to nick the win today, and West Brom will be kicking themselves for ever letting Pardew manage them as Moore scores another impressive display.

While objectively speaking that is correct, I kind of have to admit to some apathy at the moment.

I'm slammed with Tax season and frankly, Liverpool are in the CL semis with the EPL all wrapped up except for the crying.

I'm just all about the CL right now, regular league doesnt really matter much.

Theres a somewhat decent chance they will need a win on the final day of the season to not finish 5th

If Chelsea could somehow pip Liverpool to fourth, then the CL final would be essentially a playoff for Liverpool to even play in the CL next year. Takes it to a whole new level of pressure. Either way I can't imagine Liverpool fans are all that thrilled that they might have to put the A team out for the final game of the season just to ensure qualification.

Ya, planning ahead for CL Finals is the worst.

Such a burden, no wonder Chelsea, Spurs, United and City didnt want to do it. For all the money they spent on squad depth and they are selfishly only competing for places in the League.

So inconsiderate.

All I'm saying is it would be peak Liverpool to finish fifth, lose the CL final and be joining Arsenal in Europa. No doubt nice to be in the CL final, but shouldn't also be your qualification match for next year.

No, that would be peak Spurs.

At the same time though, you have to take your opportunities as they are presented to you. Thinking about next year as a fan is fine, but the Club is probably thinking that right at this moment, go for broke in the CL and to hell with the EPL.

You're not in the CL semis and in good position to make the final, all the time.

Liverpool may still screw this up and lose in Rome, it can happen, but we're still here right now and we've got to go for it.

Yeah, Real Madrid or Bayern are going to be waiting on the other side, but this is the semis/finals, nobody wins for sure and all competition at this level is going to be hard.

I just don't think needing to put out an A team is anything to get upset over.

Makes senses.
He's got a proven track record of screwing up Rodgers title ambitions.

For sure, and it's certainly what you'd consider a good problem. Just that the only thing you needed to lock up top four was beating one of the two worst teams in the league. Frustrating to have to keep going hard is probably the best word.

Did they rest players yesterday? I didn’t watch the game and it doesn’t appear that I missed anything exciting. I know Salah played because he punched another player in the face, but that’s about it.

He punched someone in the face? I watched the game and didn't see anything like that.

I saw it a bunch on twitter yesterday and I will see if I can find it again and figure out how to post it. Being the media darling and all though, I’m fairly sure that nothing comes of it.
