One of my favourites in years. Agreed that Bill Hader is much more talented than many think.

Avenue 5 is weird. Pretty dark black comedy in a bright setting, but occasional sitcom-level gags.

I get what they're going for and I do think it pulls off the bleak view pretty well, but it was marketed all wrong and I can absolutely see most people being turned off since they were expecting something very different.

Barry is excellent. Glad I started watching. 4 episodes into S1.

I'm jealous.

I remember when I was bright eyed and bushy tailed in season 1. It was so enjoyable to see the show grow.

I can't wait for season 3.

I'm 1/2 way through season 2 now. Amazing mix of humor, cringe and violence.

I keep thinking about the actors playing actors - are they playing themselves or people they know or both?

Ok so I’m watching Barry. S2 e4. I had no idea the episode was called “What?!” I legit shouted “what?!” In perfect unison with Barry at the end of the episode.

I just finished episode 3 of season two and laughed harder than any other episode. The premise is great, but like all great shows it's really the acting and writing that just kills it. (edit: kills it in a good way)

And episode 5 was just hilarious, maybe my favouite. So many great fights and quotes.

"Just take her off your face" "I can't because I superglued my hands to the steering wheel".

In the supermarket with Barrie running into Ronnie was just great. "Ronnie, I don't think you're at 100%".

The concept of the reluctant but capable killer who wants to clean up and become some terrible theater actor is hilarious.

He gets in these situations because he doesnt want to kill people anymore and he just winds up continuing to kill people.

Its goddamned brilliant is what it is and it takes Hader out of his normal comedic comfort zone but into a whole new and altogether awesomer (<-trademarked) realm of dark comedy.

And the supporting cast....Stephen Root is fantastic, Henry Winkler is great and NoHo Hank steals way more than his fair share of episodes....that guy is awesome! The insane Chechnyans...cant say enough good things other than that the show just somehow keeps getting better as you go along.

I love that they originally wanted to kill NoHo Hank in the first episode but once they got rolling just knew they had to keep him around. Very happy they made that decision

I dont know if they meant to, it certainly seemed like it, but Hank is Barry's perfect foil.

Where Barry when it comes to his work is methodical and efficient and goal-oriented and wanting to stop killing people Hank is just pure Chaos. He screws up everything hes involved with until it becomes so screwed up that it ends up perfect.

I loved the line where he says he should have been a Hotel Concierge.

I spoiled it by mentioning they didn't kill off a main character in the first episode.

Loving the newest season of Curb. The writing can be predictable to downright lazy at times but it still has its brilliant moments. The Larry-Suzy dynamic always hilarious.

It was weird because I just watched an episode of “Mayday” where a flight was brought down because of overweight passengers and baggage.
