It has nothing to do with whether or not the Flames are a good team now. These things just happen. It'll end when it ends.

This year we play them in Anaheim:

Game #22 Tue 24 Nov. 1st game of a 3 game trip (SJS & Ari). The game before that is at home to Chicago on Fri 20 Nov. Does a well-rested team that got some practice time in, show up on Monday in Anaheim or do they go down early and have a golf weekend?

Game #58 Sun 21 Feb. (not an afternoon game) the second game of a 3 game trip (Vcr & LA also) Previous game was in Vcr on Friday 19 Feb. Flames will have played Anaheim in Cgy earlier in the week (Mon 15 Feb)

Game #77 Mon 28 Mar. The second of a 4 game trip (Ari, LA & Edm) but their 6th game in 11 days. Four of the previous five have been road games (Mtl, Tor, Minn & Ari with a home game against Chi in between the Minn & Ari games). This game is in the Flames tough finishing stretch. Hopefully a playoff spot is already assured at this point.

I'm voting yes. Only the last one looks to have adverse qualities and if the Flames are for real they should be able to get at least one of the first two games in Anaheim

A couple bounces here and there and the streak isn't even a discussion. It is more an anomaly that will sort its self out this year.

It's bizarre and I hate hearing about it. Both teams are completely changed over the years that's it's crazy it hasn't happened yet. Basically Conroy & the owners are the only constants.

There should be a 'who cares?' option (as a valid response).

Very odd post seeing that the Ducks are a major roadblock in the Flames plans of being a cup contender. The Flames will not be able to take the next step until they start winning games in that building. I would say it's very important that they put this losing streak to bed sooner than later and don't understand why any Flames fan wouldn't care about this.

Because it's one of those pointless sport streaks that happen every once and a while. The flames can very easily take the next step forward even if they don't get any points in Anahiem, just as they can take a step back even if they get 6 points in Anahiem. it would be a nice moral victory and maybe a few more points but nothing more.

Except it's not pointless at all. If you can't beat a divisional rival chances are you will not go on to winning anything. If it takes 96 points to make the playoffs you can't simply shrug your shoulders and say that 6 points are automatically unattainable because of a decade long "pointless sports streak". Boston Bruins had to finally beat the Habs in a playoff series in 2011 to win their cup and to take that next step you have exercise the demons. Sooner this losing streak is put to pasture the sooner the team can move on and don't have to face the same music every time they take that California road trip.

We had one of the best records against divisional rivals overall last season, so clearly The Curse of Honda Center doesn't prevent that.

Of course then we just have to hope we don't meet them in the playoffs.

This. The ‘curse’ would have made a difference if the Flames had gone 3-0 against the Ducks at the Dome. They didn't.

Now for my fearless prediction:

Of course the Flames won't break the Honda Center Curse. The Ducks will win all three of their home games against Calgary. Fortunately, those will be the only three home games the Ducks win all season, and for generations to come, Anaheim sports fans will speak in mournful tones of the ‘Playing Anybody But the Calgary Flames at the Honda Center Curse’.

Don't see why anyone is upset about off season discussion. You aren't going to be getting much official news right now, so this is just a bit of fun.

The reason I thought it was a good measuring stick is because the 3 games we lost in Anaheim, didn't seem (to me) to come down to a couple of bounces, they were outplayed.
