FU Neal!
I know he is hurt, how far are the Flames away from guaranteeing that 3rd round pick?

2 goals, if Lucic doesn't score 11 goals this season.

Last game of the season. If everything is settled and he still needs the goals, I would just instruct Talbot/Rittich to let in anything he directs at the net.

If there's even a slightest possibility of that happening, Neal would not even be dressed for the game, I bet.

Wow that is an interesting possibility.

I hope it comes down to that.

Anyone smart would just sit his ass the rest of the season. Lupus, or gonorrhea. Can't play..

That would be typical Oiler cheating.

Now, letting Neal purposely score, that's just Flames tomfoolery.

Would be something to see the Flames fans cheering for Neal to score against them.

We'll prob need Johnny or Bennett to feed him a saucer pass in front of the net with our goalie trapped behind the net...

Is there a rule requiring a team to play someone?

Yeah I don't think they will play him unless they suffer some injuries and absolutely have to. They are playing fine without him so why risk losing the 3rd round pick?

No rule, though if you get creative with trade conditions you could impact it that way. I suppose the league could look into whether he's truly LTIR. That's all.

By "crying foul" I mean just that. Pointing out the shadiness. Earlier people talked about GMs not wanting to do business with Treliving. I think this kind of stuff is more of a reason to do that.

I don't even know if Neal is hurt at this stage.

High ankle sprain. He’s hurt. They can be re aggravated pretty easy.

Neal wouldn’t agree to sit out if he wasn’t hurt. They wouldn’t have sat him out with the depleted lineup.

It’s almost as stupid to think about as the flames purposely allowing him to score.

This is the first time I've ever heard "high ankle sprain". They fuirst kept saying "foot" or weeks later just "ankle". If it was a high ankle sprain, why didn't they LTIR him until Feb. 12? They were anticipating him back in early Feb. So unless they completely misdiagnosed it, it wasn't a high ankle sprain, since they know that takes months. Plus the game he supposedly injured it (against Calgary) there was no sign of anything.
