Default Jagr will play in Kladno for the 18/19 season (at least to start)

as per his quote on the team's website:

http://www.rytirikladno.cz/cz/rytire...idicky-a-kregl

While it isn't clear, I assume he has a NHL out clause (which shouldn't be a problem as he owns the team).

The issue is if he plays in an European league after the start of the NHL regular season, he will need to go through waivers to sign with a NHL team.

I think sadly the Flames was his last stop on the NHL circuit. I don't see many teams taking a flyer on him after his injury concerns last year.

Too bad about the injuries. The Flames scored 15 goals when he was on the ice and allowed only 6.

With the way it ended in Calgary I don’t see any other team taking him on.

I'm still disappointed it turned out the way it did. If Jagr wasn't injured and performed to the level we all thought he could, it would have been the perfect addition to our right side. So much hype and excitement, and then so much fizzle.

I think he needed a training camp. Hard to drop in the NHL mid-season, especially if you are on the wrong side of 45 lol

What happened with his concussion in Kladno? Assuming with this news he’s all good and recovered?

Sadly it was pretty evident that he was done in the NHL.

So he is holding out hope for the NHL still? That games played record must be important to him.

He was injured, man.

Also the Flames scored 15 with him, and allowed 6. Not necessarily a liability, if you want to look at the facts of what actually happened when he was here.

I heard from a pretty solid source that once he got injured his attitude changed 100% and they ended up paying him the rest he was owed up front for him to leave the team. I’m sure that will get around the league.

Haha, just thinking, would you look at the pedigree of the 2nd all time scorer, or some mud slinging from a team whose GM spent a quarter of a season with more goalies than he had elbows.

Well if it was only an injury, why did they feel the need to release him? Why not let him rehab and try to play when ready?

I've said it several times. The powers that be in the NHL are not going to let Gordie's record fall to Jagr. Its just not allowed to happen. He won't be back.

Yup, you figured it out. That's why Gary Bettman shot Wayne Gretzky in both kneecaps back in 1992, ending his career so he couldn't break Gordie Howe's record for goals scored. No one is allowed to break Mr. Hockey's records. No one.

Well whatever. 'Jags' was a real treat to watch this year, especially when he sulked out of town. Good move by Edwards to deflect criticism from the arena fiasco though.

Please provide the evidence that Murray Edwards signed Jagr, and not the Flames' management. Or else spare us the conspiracy theories.
