Harrold Reynolds was recently on Sportnet 650 and he seemed to think that a couple expansion teams were coming in the near future and realignment is inevitable when that does happen.

Would be nice to get the Expos back, but corporate support at the moment is still slim, so I doubt it'd happen. I'm surprised a western Canada team isn't there yet. As for that whole re-alignment, I don't know if it's a joke or not, or just a wacky proposal, but MLB is probably the most traditional in their approach to changes. To make that drastic of a change to go to DH across the board and at the same time changing the names while re-aligning the divisions? Too much to handle. Those types of changes would probably be done over 20 years the way they move. Hard to conceive they'd do that within 2.

The DH is definitely going to be league wide soon. Owners are tired of risking their pitchers for next to nothing. All Blue Jays pitchers are hurt right now, imagine if they had to hit on a regular basis.
Watching an NL game is not fun anymore. The ball is being put into play less and less these days and then to finally have a rally of some sort killed because the pitcher strikes out.

I don’t know. I still prefer NL ball. To me, the pitcher having to bat brings more strategy to the game. I’d honestly be happier if the DH was abolished across the board. I know that’ll never happen, however.

Agreed, the only times I see Gibbons going any 'managing' is during the interleague games.

That would as a fun game to watch! Gaviglio was awesome today. Clippard was not.

Saw Clippard's reaction on the bench after. He's pretty tough on himself.
He seems to pitch pretty good for the most part but can't seem to close for the life of him this season.

Joe West just confirmed that he is probably the biggest joke going in professional sports. He just called Teoscar Hernandez on two egregiously bad strike 2 and 3 calls. Both were off the plate by about 6 inches.

Seems like he just threw the gauntlet down to L Diaz and Angel Hernandez.
'See if either of you two can beat that!'

It blows my mind how West, Bucknor, and Hernandez are still in the league. No other of the major 4 sports would tolerate a continued level of intolerance like that.

#Phillies talking to #BlueJays about Granderson, sources tell The Athletic. PHI looking for left-handed bat off bench and occasional starter in OF. Demoted fourth outfielder Altherr to AAA last night. Granderson .230/.337/.417 in 274 plate appearances this season.

Do it!
Grandy's a sweet guy and all and he's had a good career but the Jays need to blow this thing up. Get rid of all the replacement level or below veterans that you can and make room for the farm hands.

Normally I'd agree, but he was pretty consistently bad with those outside to RH batter strike calls. It was a strike for anyone, not just that batter. Jays pitchers were the benefactor of that wide strikezone many times.

Happ Trade is in the works. I’m hoping for a top 100 prospect back.

I think to get a top 100 prospect the Jays might have to add. Be interesting to see if they would be willing to do that for the right guy.
Someone threw out the example of if the Jays were actually chasing Cliff Frasier would they be prepared to say move Smoak and Happ for a return that includes Frasier? Similar to how the Cubs dealt both Scrabble and Hammels back in the day to get Addison Russell.
With the depth the Jays have started to build in their farm it may be worth it to chase a future high impact player then to acquire more depth.
