Term is a bit ####y, but dollars don't matter until that final year, so don't give a #### that we over paid. Realistically we needed guys to throw into the grinder while the young guys get favorable deployments, so you may as well get guys who perform well in said grinder.

I'd think that's a safe bet, and I'm okay with that.

Canucks think they are a lot closer to competitive than most analysts.
They are paying a premium to look after their young ones.
Boesser, Horvat, Pettersen, Lind, Guadette, Virtanen, Dahlen all under 23
Lind is about even with Dube on the Rockets and a year younger so maybe he would be in the same situation as Dube in regards to being a year away.
add that to Sutter Baertschi and Granlund, Liepsic
And they have 4 NHL lines with very low number of NHL games played.

Agreed. I'm mega-distantly related to that family and love seeing this pay day for Jay.
I, too, though struggle to bring my nucks hate down even 1 notch.

Benning : HI WE'RE INTERESTED IN BEAGLE AND STUFF WHAT DO YOU WANT?
Agent : Uh *snicker* well, $2.5 for 3 years seems fair (ha!).
Benning : DONE
Agent : What? Holy ****. Uh ... wait a minute, it looks like I'm getting an offer from another team!
Benning : OH NO. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
Agent : Uh, 4 years $12 million maybe?
Benning : DONE
Vancouver is no good.

That will require winning a lottery. We all know there are two things the Canucks will never win, and a Draft Lottery is one of them.

I know I know, but I am stupid and I believe the stars are aligning for us to finally win the lottery. The way Quinn Hughes fell to us at 7 and the fact Jack said he would love to play with his brother. Also draft being in Vancouver next year I am regretfully getting my hopes up that it might happen
