2021-22 CPHL Trade Block

Just for new guys reading this, this was a rule put into place to prevent teams like me from sending guys like Robert Thomas, Alex Debrincat, Jordan Kryou and Ty Smith to the minors to have a 10-15 million cap space to sign players during UFA. Then call all of them back up the next day

This forces us to make sure they are on the pro team and taking cap space during Free Agency so teams that needed bodies had a better chance of signing them

Players that are over 24 have to pass through waivers and can't be easily moved up and down to gain cap space ninja style

Yes if he's 23 and under
No, if he isn't. If he's a vet he would have passed through waivers already and teams passed on him

This is for a 23-year (younger) old that can move up and down without passing through waivers

This move is to block me from sending Alex Debrincat down to the AHL during free agency to free up 7 million

Just for additional clarification... I have Samsonov who is 24 years old and above the waiver line.

I could choose to keep him down there but it would restrict me from bidding on UFAs. Or I could just simply bring him up but obviously he needs to stay on my main roster or be waived.

I think since hes above 23 u can keep him down but i might be wrong

And over 23 he can stay in the AHL but would be subject to waivers if we bring him up then send him down again....that makes sense.
