random thought... (don't know where else to put it)
The most over-used phrase by analysts this year? "the game within the game". So annoying.
1) please don't use it every 2 minutes, and
2) it's all one game, the game within the game is simply part of the game
Please stop.

It is scoreless after twenty minutes in the Islanders-Capitals game. The Islanders only have two shots so far. I hope for overtime in this game too!

The Avs winning 3-0 was an easier SHUTOUT for Grubauer, just 14 saves. The Avs fired 40 shots on Kuemper who was the 2nd star of the game. The Avalanche of goals happened in 83 seconds. MacKinnon had 2 assists.
Bergeron is an ageless wonder, the guy knows how to score the big goal. Double OT excitement. Both teams were excellent on the PK going 7/7 which means their PP sucked. The Hurricanes were shorthanded in the OT.
The Islanders down 2-0 late in the 2nd period scored to get on the board and that it was gave them the spark to kick it into high gear for the 3rd period with an early goal to tie it. Bailey's SHG was the winner. Oshie's goals were on the PP in the losing cause.
The Flyers win a close one against the Habs who almost tied it in the final minute of reg time. The shot from Suzuki hit the crossbar.
The Canucks scored 3 goals in the 3rd period to defeat the Blues. The Canucks were very strong with the PP going 3/6. Horvat had 2 goals.
