Very bad matchup for the Canucks, it looks like St. Louis wanted them.

If only one of Vegas or Colorado advances, I’d prefer Vancouver to win, so Calgary can face them if they advance. Otherwise, I hope St. Louis wins.

Good job by them not making it look too obvious either by waiting until 30 seconds left to let Dallas tie it

My 'Nucks fan friend on the matchup: "Hate it. Would much rather have had Dallas."

How the heck did the Blues lose 3 straight?

Hilariously, the Canucks were 7th points percentage, and the Blues were 1st, so it's not that unfair a result for either club in terms of the quality of their opponent.

Yeah, a screened Joe Pavelski one-timer with 30 seconds left to tie it was obvious...

As for the series, I think the Canucks are a better team than many give them credit for on CP. Tons of speed and a goalie who had a stellar season. Their only issue in my view is their D. Edler is slow now and Hughes still has a lot to work on defensively against bigger players like the forwards on St. Louis. Tanev is their best all around guy in my view. The Blues are deep though - really deep.

I think all the qualifier teams will have a slight edge in the first round against the round robin teams, at least for the first two or three games, you have teams that have been playing full playoff hockey versus teams that have been playing glorified pre season

Yea, i just completed some research on canucks.com. Apparently Quinn Hughes is just shy of Bobby Orr and Elias Pettersson is the second coming of Mario Lemieux, a true messiah. I feel enlightened by it all.

The Blues will be a really tough opponent for the Nucks. Experience will rule the day.
