Bold strategy, Cotton! Yeah, I've been thinking about changing up strategy a bit for this contest. Kind of like draftkings for PGA tour. Sure you can pick the most likely guys for your line-up but if there's 20000 entrants and 19800 picked the favourite....you're better off hoping the favourite has a crappy round.
I've done that a bit here with Verstappen in 2nd between the Mercs even if practice shows mercs as no brainers, as almost everyone has them 1,2. He's come through twice for me, but after this race I'll try something new.

I did it a few times last year. It rarely pays off. I also thought RP would have a better qually. But with the current scoring system I’m less afraid to take chances and it’s fun to dream.

Yeah any time I tried to get fancy/off the board with the top 3 last year, it didn't work out well.
Did Leclerc not get any penalty for that unsafe release? Definitely thought that'd get more attention

Since we're not playing for a million bucks and we're all friendly here, yeah I'd say any strategy that involves kicking Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen out of the top 3 (barring a major crash event, ala Cecil's picks this week) is going to burn you.
But that 4-10 range has a ton of play this season. That's where you have to get crafty and make up some points on the top 3 easy points.

Yeah that coulda been interesting if Verstappen didn't pit to try and go for the fastest lap. But hindsight is 20/20 I guess, lucky enough that they got gifted 2nd like that

Verstappen comes through again in my second place slot. That's been my bread and butter, which is pretty important as I've struck out horribly on everything but Hamilton and Verstappen, all season.

It conveniently wouldn't start after he pulled his neck in practice.

Bottas is so unlucky. That happened to him in Baku as well IIRC. Hamilton is so damn fast and so lucky. Not sure what happened as well since Sainz had a cut and I tend to believe Brundle on his thoughts that Kvyat did as well. Was a really odd spot to swap ends and he had a big hit.

Was that where Raikonnen lost half his wing too? Wonder if there was something on the track causing all these guys to blow their tires

Got 3 out of 10 in correct spots, so decent. When Bottas has tire issues, I was hopeful he would be able to hold on.
Good weekend by Renault. Finally finished the F1 Netflix series this weekend. Definitely changed how I view certain drivers and teams.

Two weeks in row now for Agulati!! You extend your lead over Jayswin by 6. Btimbit gets 2nd this week. Speede5 had 9/10 drivers in the Top 10 correct, but that last 3 lap really caused chaos.
Nsd1 + JohnnyM you gents missed your picks (1st week) so I copied them in from Hungary.
I need to trust my dislike of Stroll and Racing Point and not to trust Vettel anymore.

Lewis did a slightly better job of managing his tires and that could have been the difference. Either way, even as a Hamilton fan, I'd prefer to see the other cars more competitive as opposed to catastrophic tire failures artificially creating drama on the last lap.
