Kind of a boring qualifying, but love the shade everyone is throwing at the 2019 Mercedes. It'll be rather interesting to see how that protest pans out. 2020 Mercedes are on a totally different level than every other team. And I agree with DoubleK and dammage79 on Williams. I'm really happy for them, nearly 2s/lap faster this year and arguably ahead of Alfa and Haas overall.
For the late entries (woob + JohnnyM) I'm ok with the entries being late. They're clearly ahead of the qualifying session and FP3. If anyone disagrees, let me know.
GWE...I have the F1 calendar synced through my gmail calendar. Pretty handy to get reminders since we're all busy avoiding Covid. For anyone looking its here (top right on page): https://www.formula1.com/en/racing/2020.html
Nsd1...welcome! I got you in since Iron Maiden has missed the first 3. There are prizes...but its $10 entry. Up to you if ya want to join.

Good qualifying by Ferrari to finish 5th and 6th. Also it’s good to see both Canadian boys do well. Latifi getting into Q2 was good to see!

No issues with the late entries from my perspective

But god damn is Mercedes on another planet. Can't wait until the spending caps come in. They pushed it back a year, right?

Great job by Max Verstappen and Red Bull to manage to hold on to the second spot. Also great drive by Stroll to finish 4th!

Damn it. I got Stroll and Perez switched. Otherwise it would have been a pretty solid prediction (ahem guess)

You and me both...ugh. You know who isnt, Agulati...takes this weeks picks as well. 5 correct again, and increases his lead over Arsenal14 by 12. It's really a battle for 2nd.
I can't believe Bottas didnt close down Verstappen faster. But that was impressive by RBR after he stuck it in the wall on the warm up lap. Some more great midfield action. Too bad the expected rain never showed up either.
Renault protested this race as well. Has anyone seen what happens if they actually win the protest?? Are the RP's disqualified??
Latifi had a dream start and was up to 10th. Too bad the team kinda screwed by releasing him right into Sainz during a pit stop. Cut his tire, ruined his floor, race over. Williams looks like kind of similar to RBR aero wise. They are really good under low fuel, qualy trim. But add that 105kg of gas and they are on knifes edge.

Bottas would have probably climbed into second if he just had a couple more laps to go. Hamilton is making his wins look easy.

Awesome, tied for third! And I literally edited to have Hamilton Bottas one, two finish and went "nah, Verstappen will get himself into the top 2".

I often wonder what Verstappen would be like in one of the Mercedes.
I kept laughing watching today, it was a commentary from second place down and like every 15 laps they would just toss in a “aaaaaand Hamilton is still in first by half a track”
I liked the Haas gamble on the tires off the line, I was hoping for a stronger finish for them today. One day they are gonna pull out a podium finish and Guenther Steiner’s head is gonna explode haha.

I think he'd be 50/50 with Hamilton right now, personally.

Pitting on the formation lap is considered a driver aid?

Yeah Haas going for it with slicks right off the bat when everyone else played it super cautious with tires all day long was a treat to watch. It's too bad they have no pace in their car but Magnussen drove his ass off
