Randomly viewing old clips of Death From Above 1979 led me to a masterful performance on Conan O'Brien. Note the amazing assist from Max Weinberg near the end.

I miss music that has this amount of passion. I hope we get back to it someday.

I hear a bit of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". Donovan recorded Mellow Yellow at Abbey Road and George Harrison has said, "Donovan was all over the White Album” so it's not surprising.

Here's a piano cover of Ultimate Battle, masterfully played by a hot Asian chick.

I didn't know at the time but John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page were session musicians for quite a few albums for Donovan. So definitely heavily influenced. Probably why the music of that era is so great. Lots of collaboration.

I love this clip. I honestly search it out at least a few times a year. I love the part when Max is trying to get his jacket off but still killing it on drums.

They don't have one bad album! So awesome. Robert Fripp can completely change his sound and it always sounds perfect.

Plus after watching that video Youtube reccomended a video with Fripp and his wife singing Enter Sandman and...it's interesting! Maybe NSFW but worth having a look!

Second edit!: Holy Crap she's 62!

And I heard about it from Daughters. If you giys don't watch the Amoeba series What's in my Bag? you should. But I'm warning you you'll end up watching all the videos. It's a great series and I've found tons of new artists I'd never heard of before from this series.

I wanted to post this too. Fripp's guitar cult. Make sure to read the comments. Hilarious! No more Fripp talk from me. I promise.

Sea shanties (The Wellerman in particular, although technically it's not a shanty) are trending now because of Tik Tok. The Irish Rovers just premiered a version they recorded down in New Zealand.
