I kinda want Islander to advance so they can stick it to Tavares, but in reality, it's pretty tough to bet against Crosby.

Should be a fun atmosphere in Nassau. Trots and Lenher have been great stories but The Pens tend to show up in playoffs. Pens in 5

Islanders in 6. Defense wins in the playoffs. Not sold on Pittsburgh's team defense, and Murray has been inconsistent.

Still, Crosby.........

Do the Penguins still have that extra playoff gear? It wouldn't surprise me if they win this series in 5 games. Then again the Islanders play a style of hockey that is conducive to winning in the playoffs. Still going to take the Penguins in 6.

My heart says Islanders, my head says Penguins. It all comes down to how well the Islanders can neutralize Crosby. I'll say Pens in 6.

It's tough to gauge if the Penguins are finally descending a bit after years of success or if they hold back during the regular season to prep for a long playoff run.

Until they lose a first round series I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Penguins in 6.

I don't see the Islanders being able to contain Pittsburgh's offence over the course of a long series, nor do I think they'll get the timely scoring they need on Murray who is typically strong come playoff time. I think Pittsburgh takes this in 6 games but the Islanders make it a hard fought lower scoring series.

This to me is the marquee event of the eastern conference. Both teams have a shot at a deep run if they can make it out the first round. Two well coached teams. Should be fun to see them do battle.
