I was pretty apprehensive when the Flames were rumoured to have interest in Vatrano a couple years ago. But man, he's escaped all of my expectations this year. 22 goals??

Sharks look like garbage right now. Looks good on 'em. Now would be a perfect time for them to spiral into a nice long losing streak...because f*** that team.

The Predators have a 3-1 lead over the Kings. The Central is going to go to the wire.

The Yotes are only 4 back of Vegas.
That's insane. They deserve so much credit.

The Coyotes have no real star forwards but they have some of the best depth in the entire NHL, IMO -- all the best teams have good depth but the Coyotes are depth
Keller
Stepan
Galchenyuk
Schmaltz
Hinostroza
Dvorak
Grabner
Garland
Panik
Richardson
Crouse
Fischer
Archibald
Literally all of those forwards could finish this season with 15+ goals (except Schmaltz, who likely would've hit it if he hadn't been hurt). That also doesn't mention Nick Cousins, who had 12 goals last year (he has 6 this year but is shooting under 5%).
That's nuts.

It would be hilarious if the flames take first in the conference only to have to face Vegas anyway in the second wildcard spot. That could potentially happen if Arizona keeps this up.

It's a California miracle!
wow... didn't have a lot of faith with Florida, on the road, starting a kid with just 2 NHL games (i think) before tonight...
but they pulled it off!
Yotes doing an unbelievable job... Tocchet should be getting some Coach of the Year votes... behind Peters of course...

Are you High? Dvorak has 2 Goals. Grabner has 8. Bunch of others with like 10.

Honestly, I think this is a classic case of San Jose having an extended winning streak. There are some games near the end of the streak they didn't necessarily deserve to win. The jets game is a great example. Hopefully it's their turn for a bit of a slump.

No 90-second span in the 3rd where the other team forgets how to play hockey and gives up multiple bonehead goals in succession? No game-clincher with 4 seconds left on the clock? Was this even a Sharks game?
Flames need to make good on their next couple matches.

ack I forgot about Dvorak's injury for a sec there. yeah scratch him off that list too.
but with random players scoring hat tricks, everyone else there is feasible, Grabner included. pro-rated for the remaining 11 games, Grabner is on pace for an 11-goal season, and that can change with a couple big nights. And he's missed a ton of the season, so he absolutely would have scored 15 if he'd stayed healthy (and he still can)
I didn't say every single one of those guys will score 15 this year. I said all of them could. One thing that's for sure -- all of them (Dvorak included) are scoring at around a 15-goal pace this year. That's depth

I think cooper and trotz have a better case than Peters and tocchett.
What Tampa has done this year has been remarkable. Shouldn’t discredit a coach of the year because he has a good team. He has taken a good team and made them so much better than anyone else in the league.
Tampa is 18 points up on the second place team in the league. Teams 2 thru 17 are separated by the same amount. That’s ridiculous.
Cooper for Jack Adams. Trotz the runner up. Peters or tocchett in third place.

I was totally wrong about Peters as he has blown my expectations out of the water, however I don't even thinks he makes top 3 with Cooper, Trotz and Tocchet.

Peters should be at least top 3 if the Flames win the West. 84 Points to tops in the West!
A coach that would miss most years or in the East shouldn't be winning coach of the year

They have a 2nd line and 3 3rd lines. I guess that's depth?
I'll give them props for working hard and playing greater then the sum of their parts but you're ready to build a shrine for them or something.

Tocchet and Peters are both leading non-playoff teams last year to playoff berths this year... difference is, one is a WC team, while one has the best points-percentage in the West.
I can't see a top-3 that isn't Cooper, Trotz, and Peters. Tocchet has had a great run, but he doesn't beat out Bill.

you'll have to forgive me for being maybe a tad overexcited... I've been a Coyotes fan since I was a young kid and it's always cool to see them in the hunt. they aren't the Flames but they're easily my #2
