Almost stuck this in the Random Thoughts thread but I guess it fits better here: watching an episode of Frasier on TV for the first time in probably a decade, I forgot how funny this show used to be.

It's a later episode when Niles was already with Daphne (in my teenage brain that's when the show started going downhill), if I'm liking a "post apex" ep this well, I need to re-watch some older episodes from its prime.

Given how it ended with little fan-fare (ending the same time as Friends didn't help), it really was an underrated show

Holy crap, this week's episode. Some amazing cameos for the Vampiric Council.

It's too bad that Robert, Kiefer, Tom, and Brad couldn't make it.

Some great Vampire cameos:
Taika Waititi, Jonathan Brugh, and Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows),
Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive),
Wesley Snipes (Blade),
Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn),
Evan Rachel Woods (True Blood),
Paul Reubens (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

And Dave Bautista + Kristen Schaal for good measure.

Ahhh, I don't get the new Episode until the 14th!

This is easily my favourite new show and a strong contender to take over as the funniest show on TV once Veep wraps up.

Thanks for the list, didn't know all the cameos and what Vampire roles they've had. Also I realize he's not nearly as known as the other two but don't forget Jonathan Brugh as Deacon.

Dave Bautista was great as always.

They also asked if some other famous vampires were going to make it:

“Kiefer” (Sutherland, of The Lost Boys), “Tom and Brad” (Cruise and Pitt, of Interview With the Vampire), and “Rob” (Pattinson, of Twilight).

I posted about it last week, but the 2nd episode of HBO’s Chernobyl mini-series was last night and it is completely captivating, a must watch

Agreed. Incredibly haunting. Pretty terrifying that they were hours away from turning most of Eastern Europe into a radioactive wasteland. ~60M people could’ve died.

Thanks for the reminder! I forgot this show had already started airing. Saw the trailer a few weeks back and thought it looked amazing.

Based on the “Stumptown” graphic novel series, Stumptown follows Dex Parios (Cobie Smulders) as a strong, assertive, and sharp-witted army veteran with a complicated love life, gambling debt, and a brother to take care of in Portland, Oregon. Her military intelligence skills make her a great P.I., but her unapologetic style puts her in the firing line of hardcore criminals and not quite in alliance with the police.

Thanks. I have recorded first 2 episodes and looking forward to moving it into the rotation once GOT is finished.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned on here before and if not it should have been.

Absolutely hooked already on line of duty.

Agreed - I still crack up over the "Merry Christmas Mrs. Moskowitz" episode. One of the best Frasier episodes ever.

Viceland has a recent series out called "The Dark Side of the Ring". It takes a critical and investigative eye at particular stories in professional wrestling. Episodes include the Killing of Bruiser Brody, the Von Erich curse, and even the Montreal Screwjob.

I haven't watched it yet, but I'm really excited to binge this.

I watched the Macho Man/Elizabeth and Screwjob episodes and haven't been back since. Some Ok nuggets in there but didn't much care for it overall.

Although came away more convinced the screwjob was a work.

OMG I still watch that monthly. Him exclaiming "Jesus" when Niles is in the bathroom kills me every time.

That, "Boo!", and "The Doctor is Out" are IMO the funniest of the series.
