I wonder what all the Vancouver fans who rip the Flames for the Jankowski pick think of this? Feaster made sure to mention Weisbroad said he would be the best player in the draft and tat Weisbroad completely ran that draft.

Almost as good as naming Feaster as Asst. GM.

Fantastic news. John Weisbrod was all talk. His influence on the draft was reduced after the Jankowski project that was all on him and he was probably the first guy Burke wanted to fire when he walked into the Flames offices. Can't wait for the him to find his can't miss prospects for the Canucks.

For all those ripping Wisebrod for the Jankowski pick, please be objective about things. He's also the one responsible for making Gaudreau a Flame.
EDIT - I'm dumb. Forgot he was in Boston still.

Crap. Totally forgot. I forgot he said that everyone at the Boston table slammed their fists after the Flames grabbed Gaudreau before them. My bad.

don't feel bad, you're not even close to being the first to make that mistake on here and surely you won't be the last

Wish him well while at the same time wish the Canucks misery. Not sure how that works, don't care.

I think it'd be an awful hire. I found it amusing when some on here were contorting themselves to somehow credit Weisbrod with the Bruins success and I think even less of his abilities after watching the Flames pass up talented players to pick Jankowski and Sieloff at his behest.
About his only qualification seems to be that he has worked with Benning in the past.

Well, IMO the Canucks are making all the right moves so far this off season.......and it sucks. Wish they would have held onto Gillis for a couple more years.
