I don’t get why Minnesota moves out the better player, who plays the premium position (C), and who had the lower cap hit in a 1 for 1 deal.

Sure Staal is older, but both guys are UFA and MoJo is still 30 so not like he’s young.

I like this for Buffalo, gives them a stop gap on second line C which was a huge position of need for them without having to pay a premium.
