Default Favorite pressing of Sgt. Peppers ?

Question for any Beatles vinyl fans.

What is your favourite pressing of the Beatles album Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band?

Mine is the Mono 2015 All-Analog Remaster, pressed in Germany.

The 2012 Stereo pressing, also pressed in Germany, is UTTER GARBAGE.

The 2017 stereo remaster , with the dual disc... I have it but i'm on the fence.

What is wrong with you. Why do you seek validation from Flames Fans?

The Beatles just sound better in mono. Stereo production techniques were still an experiment in progress in 1967. I like to listen to any Beatles album before The White Album in mono. It was how my old boomer ears heard the music back then and it's still what sounds correct today. Just my very subjective opinion.

Yeah the stereo mixes are awful. I used to listen to a MFSL remaster before the box sets came out a few years ago.

My version is from 1967 - I imagine it is an original version, although I'm not really up on what each version looks or sound's like.

The 2012 is bad cause it's a digital mix on vinyl.

Yes. I have. Hard Day's night. Didn't care for it.

The 2015 one was good cause it was remastered from the original Mono tapes.

Were they mastered in stereo? Why would the reissues be bad if they were, unless the plates were just worn out? If they were a "re-worked" stereo I could see it sounding maybe unnatural?

EDIT: NM, I see it got answered up above. Any digital to vinyl conversion is going to suck hard. Same with simulated stereo

They were, but back in those days they would, for example, put the vocals and bass completely in the right channel and put the guitar and drums in the right so it sounds awful.

Long old bump......I finally got my copy of sgt.peppers back from out on the island with a bunch of my stuff.......Its a 1967 euro stereo pressing (netherlands)....sadly it has no cover, no sleeve, and its in pretty average shape....still listenable though. Thankfully its not a terribly valuable album, I have a beatles 7" single (Little Child/Till there was you/Please Mr.Postman/Hold me Tight) from 64 that is even worth more
