I want to see Tkachuk crunches McDavid so hard that he is gone with an upper body injury and the whole Edmonton bench went nuts. They then proceed to chase Tkchuck all over the ice the rest of the game.
Or, Tkachuk stands in front of the net tipping pucks, he is so annoying that the Oilers D crosscheck him and he "accidentally" fall on Talbot and Talbot in turn sustains a lower body injury.

Huh. And here i thought this was just a game. Wishing harm on any player, even if you hate them, is sad. Im all for a good ribbing among fanbases but come on.
May the Oilers crush the flames and Mcdavid gets 4 points.

In any case, I don't buy the "Elliott is motivated for this game" line of thinking. His poor play has been due to a lack of caring?
No. But do you deny the possibility that he would be additionally motivated to make amends for his season opening performance? Maybe you are a machine or some sort of impassive automaton, but I for one—like all people that I know—am prone to moments of extra adrenaline or an axe to grind. Why should Elliott be any different?
I want Elliott to win. When Elliott wins the Flames win.

As much as it pains me to admit it, the Oilers are now a better team than the Flames.
No, they really aren't. Oilers are all smoke and mirrors right now. Without McDoofy, that team is likely bottom 5. The Flames are pretty mediocre as well and maddeningly inconsistent. But the Oilers a better team? That's laughable.
I never cheer for an opposing team to be intentionally injured unless its psychological injuries.
so here's hoping that the Flames pound the Oilers so bad that McDavid has night terrors, and then to add it on he goes to visit his mom and finds Tkachuk making sweet sweet love to his mother and he's forced to call Mathew Dad.
And every time they're on the ice Mathew will skate by McDavid and ask him who his daddy is.
On top of that, I hope that Backlund is so persistent in his backcheck that Draisaitl feels the need during the 2nd intermission to ask the police for a restraining order and the police laugh at him so hard that his psyche breaks and he ends up fleeing to the woods in Germany where he spends the rest of his life eating berries and roots and becomes the local legend called Slow Foot and he wanders the woods screaming about seeing Backlund behind every tree and rock.

RE: Elliott starting vs Johnson. I think the coaches decided to start Johnson last night in the hopes that the team wouldn't look past the Devils. Too bad it didn't work. That leaves Elliott for tonight but if the last 10 years are any indication then starting your backup vs the Oilers shouldn't stop a team from winning.
While some go overboard in their concerns, Elliott is last in all qualified goalies in save percentage more than halfway through the season...and Chad Johnson is 8th. I think there's good reason to be disappointed Johnson isn't in net for the biggest game of the year to-date.
I fully agree, major risk with Elliott in net for such a crucial game. Elliott has cost us games as he has given up 13 more goals than league average based on number of shots faced (GSAA). That equates to several points in the standings. Johnson has let in 7 fewer goals than league average based on number of shots faced (GSAA). That equates to a few points in standings stolen by Johnson. The stats are not even close. Johnson's 0.924 SV% is better than all of Kippers Flames seasons except for his lights out 2003-04 season!
Goalie Stats
Player W L T/O SV% GAA QS% GSAA
Chad Johnson 15 10 1 .924 2.25 .577 7.46
Brian Elliott 8 10 1 .889 2.95 .474 -12.59
