Overall I'll give it a thumbs up. That shade of red seems a little dark but the execution looks good. My only suggestion would be to change the white straps to red.

I also don't think anyone will be confusing the 6'5 Smith with the 5'7 Vernon

What would be really awesome is strapping on a replica of that actual old helmet/mask combo (modified for safety of course).

That mask is amazing.
Needs to be brighter red though as others have said.

I have to say it looks better in action on the ice over just the photos.

Vernie gave it a thumbs up:

Quote:
Mike Vernon has been in a few masks in his time.

On one, never.

"I think it's so cool," admits the home-brew '89 Stanley Cup winner. "Smitty texted me about it this morning. So we've been going back and forth a bit.

"I saw a few photos. It looks amazing.

It’s not a question. It’s a requirement.

Honestly, having that helmet and not wearing it to any and all Flames games is a huge miss.

Imagine, you could be the Kipprusoff kid. But Old timey old man vernon. Get in the aisles, pretend to makes some save wobbling on your walker. It's a win. All day long.

Oh, and stack the pads like Vernon did but just stay down and pretend your back is all messed up.
