Default Recommendations for physiotherapists

About a week and a half ago I had surgery to re-attach the labrum in my shoulder as well as to shorten some of the ligaments. The doctor has cleared me to start physio, and because its covered by WCB he said I could choose anyone I want, but said to make sure to get someone with a lot of experience in this area.

Does anyone know any good physiotherapists? Preferably in the south somewhere, maybe even downtown.

IMO finding someone in a smaller practice is the way to go. The Lifemark's have outstanding amenities but the actual therapists don't spend much time with you. A physio that will actually spend an hour with you is worth their weight in gold. As a bonus it'll make you feel like a rock star pro athlete...

Sorry not in the south, but Maximum Potential:

It used to be the clinic of last stop for WCB patients. PM if you want more details.

Trust me on this.

Jeff Gehl at Sunridge Physiotherapy is awesome. In the south, Brennan & Associates is fantastic for shoulder injuries.

Downtown Sports Clinic is also really good - lots of one on one time.

Marry one. Seriously, my best decision ever. Okay, not because my wife is a physio, but holy toledo has that ever worked out in my favour. We live in Lethbridge so I guess that doesn't help you out.

I'm in the same boat.

I hurt myself, she tells me how to fix it, I do the exercise once because I'm so manly. Then I complain years later about pain.

Repeat cycle.

That is exactly my problem too.

Me: My knee hurts

Wife: Did you do the exercise I showed you?

Me: Yes

Wife: Did you do it after that time I showed you?

Me: ...no

Not that area, but downtown. Ian Goodwin at Calgary core Physio solved my shoulder problem for me. He was great.

Not sure if anything has changed but I believe you can go to physio in Max Bell arena. Went about 10 years ago, got my bum leg feeling good in about a month. Effects only lasted about a year.

Resolve Physiotherapy.

11420 27 St SE #120, Calgary, AB T2Z 3R6

(403) 203-7670

I had a shoulder injury that was killing me and they sorted it out in no time...through a Pandemic no less.

I recommend them highly.

https://www.altaphysio.com/

I have had a lot of treatment and injuries in my 49 years.

Jeanine is far and away the best physio I have found.

She diagnosed my neck issue before i had am MRI.
