People selling now seems crazy to me. Or am I the crazy one?
We're down 25% since last week? I'm still in hold mode. If the TSX goes lower than 10,000 it might be time to buy more.

I'd expect this is the level that will hold up. I suspect the last 5% was Trump stupidity. But I'm not into calling bottoms.
It's really easy to day trade on big down days like this. Anything that goes up today is doing so for a reason.
It's freaky seeing MSNBC all split up in different make shift studios. This is what a disaster looks like I guess.

S&P 500 needs to hold this level or as Slava said earlier "look out below".

It sure feels odd buying into this drop. If I’m alive in 10 years, I will post how it all worked out.

You're probably right. But the stock market will recover before the world does. And take something like Disney (which I bought today). It's down more than 50% from its highs. The parks/hotels/cruise ships will close for a bit, and movie attendance will be down this year. But I doubt there's a permanent change in people wanting to take their kids to Disneyland, so the asset value hasn't changed that much.
They'll probably even get some extra Disney+ signups from people desperate to keep their kids entertained while they are on home isolation.
TLDR: If you're buying for the next 3-4 months I have no idea, but in 3-4 years I think today will look like a good day to have bought.

The wild part is that people were buying into this market as it kept hitting record highs.

I sold everything I had at opening on March 2nd and recommended my family members do so as well. While a couple did, unfortunately others got stuck in the perpetual "it can't go any lower!" trap and held throughout.
I agree that long term everything is very likely to recover, but it's painful seeing loved ones watch their savings diminish day after day, especially the older members - I wish they would have sold last week and realized the potential to re-buy at a later date and lower price, or just held cash for now.
My initial plan was to short my (just sold) holdings for a small gain followed by re-buy, but wimped out of pulling the trigger so have sat on just cash since myself.
Put a chunk I'm comfortable with in an order for SPXS last night when the NBA and flight restriction new broke within a five-minute span. If anything a wild ride ahead but obviously monitoring very closely.

For anyone looking for perspective take a look at the 30 year chart of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. This latest correction wipes away 3 years of market gains

Dow jumped 1400 points in 10 minutes after the fed announced $500 billion in short-term bank funding, but it's already sliding back down.
