It's going to be real interesting next year to see if the NHL hitches it's wagon to Bedard from McDavid. Better market and a more likeable person. Then let's see if Edmonton will be able to get away with mystery retirements and long term injury cap help.

Just fascinated to see what they do about their cap situation next year with a very real possibility of it becoming clear that their "window" has now passed.
Next year, without some impressive creativity, will be really tough for them.
The year after might be a bit better because the cap should go up substantially but they are right on the edge of 2 important contracts coming to an end.
they could very soon be led by Nurse and Kane in the near future
