my computer has crashed about 10 times in the last two days - sometimes it freezes, sometimes it wont boot up, sometimes i get the blue screen of death - i have run my scandisk to fix errors but i dont think it found anything - does anyone have any suggestions

Back up your HD ASAP then do a Smart test using something like PassMark Discheck.
