Netflix is finally starting to advertise more on TV.
About freakin' time. For $8/month, you can't go wrong.

Okay, I am on season two and I just about lost it in the airport - the funeral scene with the uber-vibrating phone.
Why do the Brits only have six episodes per season... I am going to need a lot more of this if it is this funny for all seasons...

If you want full-on spread-eagled close-ups of women's special places, check out Petals:
Quote:
In this documentary, photographer Nick Karras composes an art book devoted to the human vulva. Women's health professionals, sex educators, feminist activists, artists, and men and women on the street are called upon to respond to the mystery of the female form. The film also examines the recently developed plastic surgery process known as labiaplasty, suggesting that it's a fraudulent scheme to redefine feminine beauty.

No Top Gun on Netflix.
BS, I am cancelling my subscription until they give me Top Gun.
By the way, Iron Eagle is terrible. Watching Iron Eagle 2 tomorrow.

Apparently CBC is wanting to distribute more content via Netflix in Canada:
Quote:
CBS is in talks with online video service and DVD firm Netflix to strike a number of international programming deals in Latin America and Canada.
The move would be a significant deal, marking the first major US content provider to strike international deals with Netflix, which has announced an aggressive international roll out plan.

No, but Hulu did!
Hulu is still better than Netflix Canada. It's too bad the proxy VPN trick seems to not work anymore.
I'll admit I searched for them. It was every episode too. Most for the nostalgia factor for things I stayed up to watch in my early teens. The stories on The Hitchhiker were actually quite good. It's such a perfect slice of the 80s HBO scene. I wish they would re-release the DVD boxset. There were quite a lot of stars and even popular muscians in the show. I remember one episode with Alex Summers from The Police.

Netflix has just gone and scooped up another big content deal for itself. The movie streaming service has tied the knot with Miramax on a multi-year agreement to allow streaming of films from the latter's extensive library. Pulp Fiction, The English Patient, Kill Bill, and hundreds of others will be added to the Netflix Watch Instantly catalog on a rotating basis, starting next month. This marks the first time Miramax flicks have been available on a digital subscription service. An agreement between these two companies was last rumored in March, with a five-year term and $100 million price being mooted as the likely parameters for getting it done. Neither outfit would disclose the cost to Netflix, but the benefit to you, dear subscriber, is pretty obvious. Full PR after the break.

Can't freakin' wait to be able to get Netflix here. The first users got connected to the National Broadband Network today... 100Mbps. I thought 20Mbps ADSL2+ was incredible when I moved here. Will be so awesome when that's available everywhere in Oz... television through conventional means will disappear.

Yep probably because Miramax's distribution deal is with Alliance Films in Canada. Netflix would have to deal with them to see if they will allow it in Canada.
Canadians are screwed because all the film and television series rights are owned by all these other companies up here which are stuck in the 20th century.
