It makes you wonder if the Stamps lost out on a bidding war to the Als for Ciante Evans only to discover that they were likely circumventing the cap to win Ciante's services.

The Als 2019 secondary is basically the Stampeders 2017 secondary purchased via free agency. Not easy for any team so sign the top CB free agent year over year and you wonder why those players would go there knowing they have no chance of winning. Maybe now we know.

That’s not even debatable IMO. Harshest penalty goes to the mastermind but players would have known what they were doing.

If players are complicit in this as well. then you have to hand out suspensions and maybe that forces the Als to forfeit a game or two.
But you have to take this kind of thing pretty seriously and make a statement that governs the other teams not to try it.

The two game suspension for Simoni Lawrence has been upheld - Sure wish that decision had come down prior to the Stamps playing Hamilton last week, but at least the suspension wasn't reduced.

Man, it's a nice luxury to have good Canadian depth at receiver when Brescacin and Mayala can spell off Klukas and Hunchak. Gotta think that dumb roughing the kicker penalty was a one way ticket for Gilbert to ride the pine.
