Sean Monahan traded to the San Jose Sharks

Sean Monahan, despondent at the thought of playing second fiddle to newly crowned first line center Dillon Dube, has been dealt to the Sharks for Geno Malkin, who is used to the role.

Also involved in the deal is a swap of fourth line centres, in Ryan Donato and Lucas Wallmark. This identifies a shift in the strategy of the Los Angeles Kings, in now they don't give a rat's ass about defense.

We couldn’t pass up an opportunity to bring in the dreamy Moneyhands and his great hair. He’s a guy we’ve always wanted as a Shark but could never land him. Been in many talks over the years to try and acquire him. Paid a steep price here but we like it and didn’t want to give Malkin 10X3 anyways so we either trade him now or at the deadline.

Can’t believe we finally got Monahan.

I’m happy.

All through the preseason, and into the first three games here, I just couldn't find a fit for Monahan. IRL he's one of my favorite players, but this is a business son, and sometimes you have to take the dog out to the back of the woodshed. It's for the good of the family.
