That'd be like talking about rain in Vancouver. It happens to often to discuss, yet the residents pretend it's not a thing.

This, too, shall pass.
Who here is old enough to remember when people used to call all photocopiers Xeroxes? The word Xerox even became a verb—with Xerox's legal department hollering about it the whole time.
Nowadays, nobody uses the word Xerox… for anything at all.

A brand name noun being used as a verb? Sounded weird to me, so I Googled it, turns out it's true!

I 'Asked Jeeves' and discovered no such truths.
Then again, it tried sending me to a WordPerfect Document on my Netscape Explorer so who knows what the truth is?

“Netscape Navigator” is six syllables long.
The early internet was not great at naming things.

The N symbol loading graphic is burned into my memory. A page would load and load and load on my painfully slow computer with even slower dialup from when I was a kid.
Kids don’t know how good they have it these days.
