Hockey Day in Canada - Outdoor Shinny Game

Super short notice but I need to see if anyone is still interested. I talked to the Ramsay rink today and they have ice available for this Saturday. It's $50 and I'm pretty sure I have a few buddies that will come out. I have to confirm the ice time with the Ramsay rink rat so here are the details.

Date: Hockey Day (Saturday)
Time: 4:00pm
Location: Ramsay Rink (Scotsmans Hill)
Cost: $5 per player
Dressing Rooms: Heated
Pads: Not required (helmet recommended)

I need to confirm if we're going to do it by Noonish tomorrow. I'll book it solid if we have ten committed. I have a goalie and a half (one guy can play net but would rather play forward)

Well so far it looks like we have 2 goalies and 5 or 6 forwards. I don't think I'll book it unless we get ten guys.

If we don't this year then next year I'll book it way early and give more notice.

im guessing youve talked to Jacques and thats accounting for the 5-6 forwards (and that he was the half goalie mentioned in the original post)

anyways, if not, I have sent him an email to see how many ppl he heard back from himself. I dont know if he sent an email out to our rec team about it, but I do know he did send out a mass text message, but I dont know to whom

hopefully we can get enough interest in it here over the next little bit, because it was a ton of fun last year even in the sucky weather

well I was talking to Jacques, Rhettzky
including me and him, we got 7 from our rec team (as skaters) + his brother in law, who I presume is one of the goalies you mentioned, and then yourself, putting us at atleast 8 with one goalie
waiting to hear back from a couple others as well, so we should be close to the 10 skaters

and theres still time for CPers to express interest and join too!

got an email from him while I was on lunch, we got atleast 2 more min from the rec team coming out

saturdays forecast right now is a low of -11 so it should be a great day for hockey

I don't really care, at this time let's just say first come first served. I count ten and a goalie so far so how many friends do you want in?

Also, the ice is pretty big (maybe even olympic size) so the more the merrier in my books.

if that was the case then I can think of a bunch of guys that have commited that would be denied enterance (me included )

so its not overly competitive i kinda assumed being there is no equipment needed in that case me and a buddy would be down if you need more people
