Not the end of the world and I expect Smith to have a bounce back game next time he plays. Bennett looked great.

Treliving is definitely gonna be on the hot seat if the goaltending continues to blow. Another season where the goalies #### the bed.
Make a trade for Craig Anderson or Bobrovsky or even bring in Lehtonen.. a goalie that can at least make regular saves.
Smith made Rinaldo.. look like Ovechkin

Pretty good game. Two wide open chances the boys went five hole..........and out the other side. Bad luck.
At least we saw a PP goal. Bennett played really well again. Onto the next one.

Whats with all this Saros talk? Only an idiot would consider trading him.

Hard fought battle. You don’t win against elite teams though with sub-par goaltending.
Rittich should be starting Sunday.

Flames played far from their best game and still hung in there with the top team in the west. Not too unhappy, just wish Smith could’ve made at least 1 game-saving save tonight and it could’ve been a different game. Saros made what 3, in his 10 minutes of play? I hate to say it but Smith is no longer a quality netminder. He can make the average saves but he’s not a difference maker anymore where he can single handily save his team. When was his last huge save? Home opener against Vancouver? I hope Rittich is in on Sunday.

I don't think so as goaltenders don't hold as high of value as a center or defensman. I'm not sure if they have an appetite to trade him as Rinne is UFA at the end of the season.

Think if Rinne didn't get hurt we'd have come back. Saros with insane saves.

Flames need a goaltender. Stat. All the apologetics in the world can't disguise the fact that Smith has not measured up. The Flames are much improved and a way better team, but their greatest weakness is still between the pipes. This team goes no where with Mike Smith in net.

One of the worst reffed games I've seen in a long time and that's saying something. Because they normally aren't great.

Yes, and then crap the bed again in 2 games. Needs to be consistent.

Mike smith sucks...
He’s CuJo to this generations Brodeurs and roys’
He’s good enough to make playoffs, but he isn’t dragging you to a finals or winning you a cup.
Sucks that he’s the goalie our wagon is tied to

Brodie needs to be benched when Hamonic comes back. He's been awful.

Really though, who is available???
The market for goalies is weak to empty. Unfortunately I think we are stuck with what we have until the deadline.

Refs def. Flames 5-3. I usually don't complain about the officiating, but holy hell was that some bad officiating.

Yes. But he will not be wearing red next season. People really need to let this pipe-dream go.
