I have a beef with this. Wearing red is huge, but a whit Flames jersey is favourable over a plain red shirt, no doubt.
Let's say (and this is hypothetical, as I have a red jersey) that I only have a white Flames jersey, and I spent all my remaining money on tickets to game 1. I'm wearing my goddamned white FLAMES jersey, and I don't care what you say. It still has a lot of red on it, and doesn't upset the overall sea of red ('cause you know, in the ocean, it's blue, but when there are waves you can see little patches of white water). Thus, in reality, wearing white (so long as it's a Flames jersey) is perfectly fine, and suits the sea of red quite nicely.
Don't tell me I can't wear a Flames jersey to a Flames game, even if it's white. That's total garbage, folks!

Go back and read this thread to yourself again. Aloud. Then ask yourself who is being the garbage man?

Why must people be so bull headed? If you don't wear red you stick out like a sore thumb. Should more people get the mentality that you have then it would turn into the sea of mostly-red-but-quite-a-bit-of-white-too, and that just wouldn't look as good. Take another look at the image posted on page 2 of this tread. Does that not look impressive? Don't you see the people in white/grey/back and think... gee they look like fools.
This isn't about being an individual, it is about supporting the team by being the 7th player on the ice. It is great that you have a white jersey, I have one too, but I won't wear it to the game, I'll wear it on non-game days. I'll wear red on game days.

Yup. If I manage to get to a game, I'll wear whatever the hell I want, and for me that means my black Horsehead jersey...and you 'red-nazis' can all **** up a rope if you don't like it.

Hey! That dude waving those two white Calgary Flames flags in that picture (just below Kipper, right between the two heads) is my friend I go to games with all the time! Rock on!
Oh! And he also never wears anything but his white jersey to home games. He's been on the Jumbotron more times than not waving those flags, too.

NO NO NO. Meet me at the Fan Attic and I'll buy you a $5 red t-shirt. Do not wear your white jersey.
Otherwise, IT WILL ALL BE YOUR FAULT if the Flames don't win the Cup.

Why do you hate Calgary?

I'm only about 6 hrs away, so the possibility exists, though it's highly unlikely that I will make it to a game.

That's a good point, because Sea of Red, or "C" of Red is actually pronounced "Sea of Red with Little White Speckles"
