You could always use a large citrus zester in the meantime.

Or you know, order the product before sharing it. Rookie move. Selfless, but rookie.

I'm sure a few of you may have something similar, but I got this awesome wireless charging pad a couple of days ago:

I love not having to fumble around in the dark trying to plug the microUSB into my phone. 3 coils so the charging area is wide and it charges the phone up pretty quickly as well. First world problem solved !

Or just get a regular butter spreader and drill some tiny hole along the edge since that all they really did.

Butter spreader

Can you literally just place your phone on top of that mat and it will charge, or do you need to buy a special battery/case?

Also the terrible English in that write up makes me nervous that this is some Chinese POS that works for a few days then explodes by my head in the middle of the night.

The terrible English in the description threw me off a bit as well, but it had great reviews so I figured I'd go for it. No you don't need any special batteries or cases. In fact, I was impressed at how quickly the pad sensed the phone considering I have a couple of different cases that are kind of thick. Just make sure the phone you have is Qi-enabled.

Pretty much (though they say it'll be stamped in manufacturing, they have a big cutlery manufacturer making them).

The funny thing was almost right after I posted that, the top article in my RSS feed was one telling Americans to stop putting their butter in the fridge.

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I just got this and it's pretty cool. It's called pressy and let's you configure button pushes to make your phone do various things. I basically just got it and have just started to tinker with it, but it seems pretty good so far.

These are cool, I always regretted not putting in ceiling speakers and this was a relatively good compromise:
