Notre Dame probably will still get in because there's really no one else to take, but they might want to add some garbage time points to make this a bit closer just to be sure.

Why would the Domers be ahead of the Aggies?

I assume you mean ND. But why wouldn’t they? They ain’t putting in the aggies to get smoked by someone when ND can actually make it a game and actually win.

The 4 teams won’t change. Just the order. Aggie’s only chance was Ohio state losing.

I’d love for Florida to come out on top here. But their defence apparently isn’t interested in winning today.

Florida keeps teasing me. Maybe they can finally get a stop.

Aggies only loss is to Alabama. I don’t see how the Irish are so much better.

And is Domers not well known?

Only loss to Clemson. Ranked higher. Strength of schedule (lol in ncaa).

I don’t see the aggies getting in over Notre Dame.

A one loss SEC team has never not made the playoff.

I agree with you in terms of what is going to happen but I really don’t see any team other than Alabama having a better claim than the Aggies, nor do I think other teams are going to put up a better fight than A&M.

I could see experience play into it this year. Aggie’s probably get rolled like some other teams in the last few years.

Aggie’s and ND. No Ohio state? Only 6 games. I could see them not wanted to award an 8 team national champ.

I’d put Florida ahead of either ND or TAM. But I think it’ll be the Irish. Them and the Aggies each have 1 bad loss and 1 good win.

Hard to put ND in for me, they needed double overtime to squeak past an undermanned Clemson who boat raced them at full strength. Florida has 3 losses how can you possibly put them in? Bama, Clemson, A&M, then I’m a bit stuck. 6 games played Ohio state has no business playing they could barely beat indiana and northwestern.

Because Im a Sooner Fan I wanna say Oklahoma. However..... Im embarrassed by the last few years. But this year we actually have a defense. Nonetheless, I think Ohio State gets in and ND too.

If I had to choose I’d say Notre dame as the last team over ohio state but that could be my hatred talking. Oklahoma is reasonable but a 2 loss team over the other two would be hard to see from the playoff committee.

It’s a pointless exercise anyway IMO, Clemson and Alabama for the title feels like a lock

Yeah that's ultimately it isn't it? Would be a pretty massive shock if it's not Clemson-Alabama in the end anyway, who gets to be the two teams who get crushed in the semis is somewhat meaningless, although of course if you want to see Ohio State and Notre Dame get crushed you want them in.

Its all about $$$$......... so its all about eyeballs on tv screens.

It will be ND and Ohio St. even though neither should be there, as they will draw more viewers than A&M or Cincinnati who both have better cases.

Pretty clear that Bama and Clemson are the two best teams. It's probably Ohio State at 3 than Notre Dame at 4. Although with how Clemson rolled the Irish yesterday I think A&M would challenge the Tide more than ND will.

I figured as much.

Same Clemson round 3 for the championship

Aggies just not good enough to unseat anyone. They got it right imo.

CFP makes it clear they want nothing to do with the group of five schools. Don’t blame them. Can’t think of the last time a team in consideration had a signature win.

Aggies had no shot because theres no way a rematch was justified. They got crushed by Bama already. I guess maybe they could have been #3 and put Ohio State #4?

Ohio State vs Bama and A&M or Florida vs Clemson would have produced better games but I don’t see how those matchups work given the previous rankings.

ND’s only job is to lose by less than 21, while not getting shut out. If they do, I’ll be shocked.

I’m sure that I’ve said this before, but...

If you don’t win your conference championship, you don’t belong in the playoff.

And, at least for this year, a team that only played 6 games doesn’t belong in the playoffs either.

The whole playoff process is a joke and has been for years, but if anyone needed any proof that the whole system is just about the dollars, then this year should provide all of the proof needed.
