^ the Salah deal is off, by the way.

Knowing Liverpools MO, they'll probably go and buy Tadic now.

Lol, I can't keep up. Pretty sure everyone's entire starting eleven has been sold off and replaced if you follow all that! Although I did see something that said Tadic going to Liverpool for $13m? Who knows. Is the window officially open yet?

at least reports in Italy said that it's dead in the water, who knows. Tadic has a 13m release clause, but nothing is set in stone yet. The window is officially open now yeah. Not a lot of additions in the top 6 though so far. City have signed Ederson and Bernardo Silva; United have signed Victor Lindelöf. I think that's about it so far, with a ton of chatter going on though obviously.

Well the rumours are that City has also taken a run at Sanchez and of course the rumour that Kyle Walker is heading there is still ongoing. I thought United also signed Morata? Gobs of money being thrown around in general though.

Morata isn't official yet. Should happen in the next few days, hopefully.

If Wenger lets Alexis go to City then Arsenal might as well fold. No way that happens IMO. Also LOL at Guardiola trying to get Alexis in the first place after signing B. Silva and already having De Bruyne, Sterling, Sane, Aguero, Jesus, Iheanacho and D. Silva. Pep does know that there's a thing called defending in football, right?

Real, understandably re-thinking selling Morata. If I'm them, they should really be selling bumping him ahead of the Frenchman. Morata scored at nearly twice per/minute rate than Benzema, and on par with CR7 - albeit not same level of stage.

Of course £19.4m/yr is pretty persuasive.

Benzema is clearly ahead of him. Not in terms of quality, but in terms of playing together with Ronaldo and friends. Zidane has found a formula that works and they are not going to mess with that. Morata will be a United player by the end of the week for sure. Spanish reports now say it's pretty much all agreed ... €80m including incentives.

Leicester are signing Hull CB Harry Maguire for around £17m. That's a fantastic piece of business IMO, he was excellent last season.

West Ham's a good call actually. He'd surely be an upgrade over Adrian and Randolph, and there really isn't any other option in the PL right now.

This is something that I find strange about English players, the vast majority of them do not like playing anywhere but England.

The PL has players from all over the world, but English players outside of England are far rarer.

Because unless you are world class which very few of them are then there is nothing to be gained from moving abroad. The money is in the PL.

On the flip side. PL basically kills the national team with average 10-20M imports getting playing time over local talent because the price has to be justified. You gotta wonder how many Rashfords don't get the chance.

This is baffling. I mean sure, get rid of him and that part makes sense. But why wait this long? So bizarre.

good question. Maybe they first wanted to make sure that they can find and convince a better manager. My guess? Thomas Tuchel.

The firing itself makes sense. 8th place is misleading - they only finished 6 points ahead of 17th and point-wise were closer to relegation than to 7th.

Rumour mill can be pretty hilarious sometimes. I expect many more of these until Ronaldo's new deal is done.
