I’ll pose the same question I posed a few weeks ago…
The optimists on this board - honest question: are you still optimistic?
We just scraped out two points out of four in back to back games at home against the literal worst two teams in the league. And we think we’re a good team?

Yes. We are still making the playoffs. We play in the worst division in the league.
It will be a hell of a lot easier if we play Vladar more though.

Defense needs to calm down.
Whenever Tanev is out they all try to do too much. Terrible pinches, bad step ups, and just overall look like they are playing too aggressive.
Amount of times tonight where they went to step up and just went by the Blackhawks forward was laughable.

Even if it's with the 10th best odds, go all in for a Bedard ballot
this group doesn't have a shot .. not enough firepower, and too feeble on D with Tanev in and out of the line up
trade Markstrom with incentive or buy him out. watching these Markstrom games is like death by a thousand cuts
give your fans mercy
play Pelletier with Hubs. even give Phillips the leading AHL scorer another look
and lastly
call the Wolf

Pretty fascinating Sutter still has a job. Presume it’s more of an ownership pinching pennies than a desire to win. An impressively underperforming team not meeting expectations and consistent losses to bottom ten teams. Seems like the perfect recipe to can the head coach.

I do not think playing Mackey and Stone together is a good idea.
I also think the other two D pairings were bad. And most of the forwards.
That’s my analysis.

Brutally bad. The team was asleep at the switch right from the get-go. Couldn't pass, couldn't defend and couldn't score. I was pleasantly surprised when they tied it up at the end of the first. They then proceeded to crap the bed for the rest of the game.
Cheering for this team is hard.
Oh...Pelletier looked OK. Ineffective, but OK and seemed to work hard.
